Employers and the CDU
Advice and help with local investigation
The Career Development Unit can provide confidential advice and help with local investigation once concerns have been raised.
The CDU normally has contact with the Human Resources department, clinical governance lead, medical director/adviser or designated case manager. The CDU can help with training and assessment tools for those responsible for local investigation and can provide CDU representation as an educational resource for PCT Performance Advisory Committees.
The NCAS are currently developing a local investigation tool box to include examples of audits and multisource feedback tools.
