As the Careers Lead for Oxford Deanery I work one-to-one with trainee doctors to help them resolve  their career dilemmas and I facilitate career workshops on decision-making for Foundation trainees. I’ve also run workshops for educational supervisors to encourage them to help their trainees with non-directive career support  For me one's career is such a personal matter that helping  is not about giving advice to, or having the answers for someone, it's about  helping people find their own answers.

Alongside my Oxford careers role I am on secondment from a similar role in Wessex to be a Programme Director on the Oxford District GP Training Scheme; I have a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Warwick. Since 2010 I've been working as an accredited coach on the South Central Coaching Register and I'm now also completing training as a coach supervisor for NHS South of England.

My first career was in publishing, where I especially enjoyed recruiting and training teams; this was where my curiosity about self-development and motivation began.
