Dr Richard Stevens

I was a graduate entry to medicine after my first degree in Psychology and Physiology and working in the Oxford Department of Experimental Psychology.

I was a GP in East Oxford for nearly thirty years and was a tutor, trainer and appraiser involved in the training, supervision and development of undergraduates and postgraduates. I set up a Balint group for qualified doctors some years ago and still attend regularly.

I started coaching with the PSU in 2010 and am qualified in Time to Think coaching. I have acted as Assistant Director and am currently acting co-Director. I have recently written the Vital Signs series of guides for doctors and medical students seeking support and am acutely aware of the particular pressures on the medical profession.

I believe in supporting people to make their own choices to lead the life they choose. Working with the talented PSU team is a privilege.
