Dr Denis O'Leary

I have worked as a consultant psychiatrist and honorary senior clinical lecturer with University of Oxford. In addition to my College membership I have an MD qualification in psychiatry. Educational qualifications include an MEd and an adult education teaching qualification (FAETC).

Nationally I have worked as a senior adviser with the National Clinical Assessment Service (NCAS) in the advice and assessment development departments. I have facilitated at educational supervisor training with the Royal College of Physicians and on the UNICON course for undergraduate teaching (University of Oxford). I have designed and deliver training for clinical and educational supervisors with the Royal College of Psychiatrists. I am leading on the development of workplace based assessment with the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Regionally I have worked as Head of the Oxford School of Psychiatry (2008-2013) and prior to this in other educational roles (TPD,College tutor). I am a member of the Thames Valley Professional Development Unit (PSU), course lead for the Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education and examiner with the Oxford Learning Institute’s diploma in learning and teaching in higher education.
